VFC Alternative Break has a job opening at the SERCAP headquarters in Roanoke, Virginia. VFC Alternative Break is currently seeking a VFC Coordinator to assist the Special Projects Manager in guiding the program and its’ activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for program support including, but not limited to:
- Assisting with establishing new host sites
- Assisting with recruiting new schools
- Assisting with the establishment of the Student Ambassador Program
- Assisting with day to day administration and other tasks as assigned by the Special Projects Manager
This is a one year position that ends September 30, 2015, but may renew annually based upon position funding.
Competitive candidates should possess, at a minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Services, Marketing and Public Relations, and/or a related field and posses a minimum of one to five years of progressively responsible experience in a community based organization involved with building communities and developing partnerships among civic groups and organizations. The VFC Coordinator should
possess a wide range of experience in managing multiple projects, facilitating projects with a diverse range of clientele, and be an effective communicator.
